Best San Diego Waterfront Restaurants

San Diego waterfront restaurants

I’ve lived in San Diego for 40+ years, and dining with ocean views never gets old. It’s not something I take for granted. What I love about San Diego is that we have San Diego waterfront restaurants and white-tablecloth dining overlooking the Pacific, but we also have laid-back taco spots with a view. You can watch pelicans dive off the pier at breakfast, have a beer at a marina bar at lunch, and catch a sunset over the ocean at dinner.

Whenever someone comes to visit, I inevitably get asked, “Where should we eat with a view?” That’s usually when I start running through my list of San Diego waterfront restaurants. These 65+ restaurants are the places that remind me why I still love living here after all these years.

This guide covers the best San Diego waterfront restaurants across the county. I’ve included everything from casual neighborhood spots to restaurants you will need to book weeks in advance. This list is a good place to start when looking for ocean view restaurants in San Diego, bay dining, or just a great meal outside with a view.

I will add new spots as I find them. Drop your email to stay updated.
