I’ll be honest, my last cruise wasn’t great for food. Long buffet lines, average dishes, and little variety made me skip cruise dining for years. That changed on Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady during the Fire & Sunset Soirées cruise to the Bahamas. The Virgin Voyages cruise dining experiences completely surprised me. You’ll find fine dining, casual restaurants, and The Galley. It’s a great mix of eateries you can order from directly. It completely changes how cruise dining feels.
Your ticket includes all food, plus water, coffee, tea, and sodas. Enjoy a fine dining experience or grab a pizza. You will notice the high quality. One of the highlights of Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants is the variety of menus.

What’s the best meal you’ve ever had on a cruise?
If you want to dine at one of Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants, make reservations early. You can book them 45 days before departure, and they fill up fast. Even if you miss that window, you can still visit the restaurant and ask for a table. They’ll give you a wait time or seat you if space is open. I had no trouble getting into any restaurant on board.
I felt amazed the moment I entered The Test Kitchen. The space looks like a modern food lab with an open kitchen. You can watch the chefs carefully plate each dish with precision. It’s one of the most creative experiences you’ll find at Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants. Especially if this is your first Virgin Voyages trip.
The Test Kitchen is a signature stop among Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants, offering seasonal tasting menus that are experimental and ever-changing. Guests rave about the innovative, chef-driven creations that make repeat visits a must for those looking for a unique culinary experience.
The Test Kitchen has three menus: A, B, and C. You don’t pick which one you get, and that adds to the fun. My six-course menu listed ingredients only: mushroom, egg, scallops, venison or beef, blue cheese, and chocolate. Every dish surprised me in the best way. You can find something for every taste among Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants.
Each course looked beautiful, and the staff explained every detail. For anyone who loves experimental food, The Test Kitchen at Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants is a must-try.
The Wake is the Valiant Lady’s modern steakhouse and one of the top Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants. It’s for anyone who loves seafood or steak. Located at the back of the ship, it has a stunning view through the portholes.
One of the highlights of the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants is The Wake, which continues to impress with its refined steak and seafood offerings. Seasonal menu items and elevated brunch dishes now complement classic favorites, making it a must-visit spot for diners who love premium cuts and fresh seafood with a view of the ship’s wake.
I wanted to try everything on the menu. Every plate around me looked incredible. We ate here twice and enjoyed something different each time. Don’t skip dessert. It’s worth saving room for. These dishes show why their restaurants stand out at sea.
The service at The Wake was excellent. This restaurant could easily compete with high-end steakhouses on land.
Pink Agave had one of my favorite menus among the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants. The Mexican-inspired menu offers Botanos (small plates), Entradas (medium plates), and Fuertes (large plates). You can order as much as you like. I could have easily been happy with just the smaller plates, like guacamole with pomegranate seeds and esquites.
Among the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants, Pink Agave shines with authentic Mexican street food elevated for the cruise setting. Tlayudas, memelas, and sopes now share the menu with expanded tequila and mezcal selections, delivering both bold flavors and lively energy for dinner and drinks.
The bistec marinero en escabeche stood out. A ribeye steak topped with melted Oaxaca cheese. The food and service made it one of the best Virgin Voyages cruise dining experiences on board. People who love food will enjoy the choices at Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants.
If you want to splurge a bit, try the pescado zarandeado. It’s achiote halibut, lobster, and bay scallops for $55. It’s worth it. Every night feels special when you dine at a different restaurant.
Razzle Dazzle is another one of the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants you shouldn’t miss. It’s open for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. Sadly, I only tried breakfast here, but it was fantastic.
Razzle Dazzle is one of the most vibrant Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants, mixing bold comfort food with plant-forward options. The latest menu includes Sip & Savor pairings, creative mains, and small vegetarian dishes, keeping the experience fun, interactive, and perfect for groups.
This restaurant focuses on healthy dishes, though it also has a few indulgent ones. The most creative dish I had was the watermelon and sesame cream. The dish features a large slice of watermelon with tofu cream, granola, and frozen berries. Service and food quality stay consistent across their restaurants.
From the “naughty list,” get the fried chicken sandwich with beet aioli on a black bun. It’s one of the most visually striking dishes in any of the Virgin Voyages cruise dining experiences.
I skipped Extra Virgin (Italian) and Gunbae (Korean BBQ), but both stayed packed. These spots are popular at Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady, so book early if you can.
I found The Dock House by accident while listening to live music. The smell of grilled skewers caught my attention. It’s a laid-back spot with drinks, great views, and tasty bites like grilled shrimp, chicken thighs, and octopus.
This space adds to the casual side of Virgin Voyages cruise dining experiences, perfect for relaxing afternoons. Even casual bites are full of flavor.
The Pizza Place stayed busy all day. The smell alone drew people in. The chefs make the pizzas fresh. You can eat them there or take them anywhere on the ship. Simple, hot, and satisfying. And a nice break from formal dining. The Pizza Place is a favorite among Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants, serving fresh-made pizzas throughout the day. Rotating specials and classic pies make it a reliable spot for quick, delicious meals between activities or after shows.
It’s another reason why Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants offer such a range of options for different appetites.
The Galley offers more casual dining. It’s perfect if you want something quick or in between meals. You can sit down and order from any of the food stations, or walk up and choose dishes yourself. One night, they hosted an Asian Night Market, and every station served Asian dishes.
It’s a relaxed and flexible part of the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants. Great for when you don’t want a full sit-down meal.
The Galley continues to evolve as one of the most versatile Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants, offering casual food-hall style dining with options like ramen, burgers, tacos, and Mediterranean bowls. Recent menu additions give guests even more variety for lunch or late-night bites.
One thing that impressed me most was how well Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants cater to vegan and vegetarian guests. My vegan pescatarian wife loved the options available. Every restaurant offered something creative and flavorful for her diet.
It’s rare to see that level of inclusion on a cruise, and Virgin Voyages deserves credit for it.
That’s my list of favorite dishes from the cruise.
The Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady restaurants offered some of the best meals I’ve had at sea. Each restaurant had its own personality, and the food quality never dropped. From fine dining to casual eats, everything felt thoughtful and well-prepared.
If food is a big part of why you travel, this cruise delivers.
