If you are planning a visit to Valle de Guadalupe, this Latitud 32 restaurant review should be on your reading list before you make a reservation. Latitud 32 is the signature restaurant at El Cielo Resort & Winery, and it earned a place in the first Michelin Guide selection for Mexico. This is a notable achievement that highlights its culinary strength in the region. This recognition places Latitud 32 among the top restaurants in Baja California and was one of the reasons I was so excited about our dining experience. If you are searching for an honest Latitud 32 Restaurant Review, here is exactly what to expect.

Baja California and Yucatán cuisine

The style of food at Latitud 32 is a creative fusion of Baja California and Yucatán cuisine, blending fresh seafood and regional produce with bold, aromatic spices from the Yucatán. The rustic elegance of the restaurant decor with high ceilings and vineyard views complements the food beautifully. You’ll see that pointed out in many Latitud 32 restaurant reviews. The menu highlights range from duck and ceviche to slow-roasted lamb and pork belly that showcase the region’s best flavors.

Lunch menu

A thorough Latitud 32 Restaurant Review should include the food, wine, and the setting. Lunch at Latitud 32 was one of the highlights of our stay, and every bit as impressive as the dinner. We started with the Maya Ceviche, a bright mix of octopus, fish, and shrimp marinated in citrus with habanero oil and black recado. It had depth and just enough heat. The Pibil Cucumber Tostada was fresh with pibil-style cucumber, guacamole, pico de gallo, and a touch of lime zest purée. The Cantinero Beetroot has layered pickled beets and pepitas in black recado with a creamy epazote and habanero sauce. The Bluefin Tuna Sashimi in Pipián Sauce (marinated in lime and sesame oil and served over pumpkin seed pipián) was also delicious. My pro tip is to get one of each, and share.

For mains, the Yucatán Chicken Breast stood out. It was marinated in red recado and served with Valladolid sausage, Xcatic sauce, and mashed potatoes. The Creamy Rice with Lamb and Longaniza from Valladolid is a signature dish, and is both comforting and full of flavor. It has roasted lamb and Edam cheese folded into risotto-style rice. My wife’s favorite dish was the Grilled Octopus, finished with truffle oil and paprika. It was tender and perfectly seasoned. The lunch menu is also rooted in Baja and Yucatán traditions, and meant to be enjoyed slowly with a glass of wine, and gorgeous vineyard views. I hope this Latitud 32 Restaurant Review helps you decide if it belongs on your itinerary.
