Paséa Hotel is the top spot for Huntington Beach visitors

Paséa Hotel

Sometimes you only need a short drive to feel like you are truly on vacation. My recent weekend getaway to Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach was the perfect reminder. Just over an hour from home, the hotel offers a mix of luxury, ocean views, excellent dining, and relaxation. That made it one of the most enjoyable local trips I have taken.

Huntington Beach has a varied mix of hotels, from beachside views to national chains.

Dining at Lōrea

The new restaurant at Paséa Hotel & Spa, Lōrea, was one of the highlights of our stay. Chef Dan Perry brings together flavors from both land and sea, and every dish felt carefully crafted. The Prime Steak Frites with chimichurri was rich and flavorful. The Parker rolls with Turkish chili-lime butter were impossible to resist. Fresh options such as oshizushi and crudo reflected the hotel’s coastal setting. The restaurant also offers live music evenings, which make dining there even more memorable.

Rooftop Cocktails at Treehouse on PCH

We started our evening at Treehouse on PCH, the rooftop bar and lounge at Paséa Hotel & Spa. With wide ocean views, comfortable seating, and live music from rotating DJs, it provides an energetic and relaxed setting. Creative cocktails such as the Key Lime Martini and Obsidian Blue paired beautifully with the sunset. For Paséa Hotel guests who enjoy social spaces with a lively atmosphere, this rooftop will be a highlight.

Waking Up to the Ocean

Our guest room was modern and well-designed, complete with a balcony that looked directly onto the Pacific Ocean. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking to views of the coastline. It set a peaceful rhythm for the entire trip. Paséa Hotels’ location makes it easy to enjoy the beauty of Huntington Beach from the room.

Poolside Relaxation

The pool area at Paséa Hotel & Spa was another favorite feature. With cabanas, ocean breezes, and plenty of space to relax, it felt like a resort within a resort. Guests can enjoy both family-friendly spaces and quieter corners for relaxation. You can easily order food and drink service from the pool bar.

Steps from the Sand

Being directly across from the beach added even more to the experience. Morning walks on the sand and evening strolls under the stars were simple to enjoy. Paséa Hotel is also next to Pacific City, a shopping and dining center. Plus, it is within walking distance of the Huntington Beach Pier.

If you are looking for more ideas for local escapes like Paséa Hotel, here are some other suggestions near San Diego. For another luxury oceanfront stay, consider Alila Marea in Encinitas. If wine country appeals to you, enjoy a full weekend with dining at the Vineyard Rose Restaurant. And if you want to pair beach vibes with island charm, plan a trip to Catalina Island.
