Yes I Asked For A Selfie With This San Diego Chef

I once stood in an elevator next to Garth Brooks and didn’t realize it. I also waited in a grocery store line behind a superstar, and didn’t care. But put me near a San Diego chef and suddenly I’m starstruck. I think it’s because I respect chefs on a different level. Spending time with chefs shows you the years of work, the pressure, and the obsession it takes to cook at a high level every day. So for me, chefs are the celebrities. And yes, I always ask for the selfie. Not all of these chefs are from San Diego, but if I’m star struck, they’re getting included. These are some of my fav photos from 2025.
