Best North Park Restaurants For A Great Meal

North Park restaurants

Updated for 2026: Here’s my guide to the best North Park restaurants in San Diego. These are my personal picks. I live in North County, but happily visit North Park once a week to get a good meal. I go here because I know I will get good food and local community vibes. You can literally drive there and park your car without knowing where you can dine.

Start looking for places around 30th Street, where you will find everything from local breweries to places to get desserts. There are local coffee shops, speakeasies, and some incredible restaurants. I hope this list of North Park restaurants helps you find a new favorite place to eat.

North Park Restaurant Closures and New Openings

North Park has seen several restaurant closures recently, including some North Park Restaurants favorites. But the neighborhood hasn’t slowed down. New restaurants have opened and are already making an impact with focused menus and strong concepts. This list has been updated to reflect what’s changed and what’s worth visiting now.

bacari

If you are exploring North Park restaurants for a great meal, Bacari deserves a spot on your list. Set in a two-story space on 30th Street, it offers Mediterranean-inspired small plates that are made for sharing. Standouts include lamb hummus, street corn, seasonal pasta, and fresh crudo. The menu works for date night, group dinners, or a casual night out with friends. There is weekend brunch, a solid wine list, and creative cocktails. With indoor seating, an upstairs area, and a patio, it fits right into the energy that makes North Park restaurants so popular.

SIAMO NAPOLI

Siamo Napoli is one of my favorite restaurants to get authentic Italian food in San Diego. Quite simply, I love the food, focus on quality ingredients, and excellent service.  It is run by three brothers, and they are always there, working hard. After my first meal here, it was hard not to want to be a regular, as the food is absolutely delicious. A strong recommendation would be to order the pappardelle con il ragù d’agnello, Cabernet-infused pasta with slow-braised lamb ragout. Siamo Napoli is the highest-rated Italian restaurant in San Diego, and one of the must-visit North Park restaurants.  If you are looking for a pizza, it’s also on my list of places to get the best pizza in San Diego.

Deckman's NORTH Park

Michelin Chef Drew Deckman opened Deckman’s NORTH Park (31THIRTYONE by Deckman’s) in North Park last year. It is his first restaurant outside of Valle de Guadalupe.  Chef Drew is known for his commitment to sustainability and farm-to-table dining. On most days, you can see him in the open kitchen shucking fresh oysters. It is easily one of the best North Park restaurants, adding to the neighborhood’s growing reputation as one of San Diego’s top dining spots.

Bivouac Ciderworks

Bivouac Ciderworks is typically known for its craft cider company, but to ignore the food that they have available for pairing would be a mistake.  In addition to seasonal ciders, they often have local pop-ups with chefs.  Be sure to check out their decor. Last year, they opened their new Bivouac Adventure Lodge, which is next door.  As a pro tip, after dinner and drinks, indulge in the S’mores Experience. This spot is one of those North Park restaurants I always feel good recommending.

Kin Len

Seeing a line outside Kin Len is usual, but well worth the wait.  They serve Thai street food, including Khao Soi, a popular and flavorful coconut curry noodle soup. They take reservations Monday through Thursday.  While the Khao Soi is a top-seller, I am told that the Hat Yai Chicken & Curry is a must-order dish. It’s one of those North Park restaurants you can visit again and again.

Cori Pastifico Trattoria

Cori Pastifico Trattoria‘s menu is based on traditional Sicilian food.  As a sign of their excellence, Italy’s top food & wine publishing group, Gambero Rosso awarded them with its highest honors. Only five Italian restaurants have received this honor. I highly recommend making a reservation. Cori is one of the best North Park restaurants. I dare you not to try the Fritelle cacio e pepe:  savory Italian-style doughnuts, pecorino foam, pipli black peppe.

One Door North

One Door North is a lively favorite among North Park restaurants, popular for its camp-inspired vibe and elevated comfort food. Chef Fred Piehl focuses on local produce, seasonal flavors, and crowd-pleasing dishes. The tent-style tables add fun, and the s’mores dessert is a must for first-timers.

Tribute Pizza

Tribute Pizza is a standout in North Park restaurants. It serves wood-fired “neo-Neapolitan” pizzas with fresh local ingredients in a fun, converted post office space. The menu changes with the seasons and includes appetizers, salads, local beer, and wine.  There’s almost always a line to get in due to its popularity.

Alexander's On 30th

Combine pasta and pizza with fine dining to understand why Alexander’s on 30th in North Park is so popular.  Especially on a Tuesday when they have an $8 pasta special. Pictured is The Cherry Bombe, a spicy, meaty, and cheesy pizza. It’s a reminder of why locals love North Park restaurants so much.

WORMWOOD

Both the food and drinks at Wormwood are quite spectacular. And if you have not had absinthe before, it is quite the experience to have a large water tower delivered to your table with instructions on how to best enjoy this mysterious drink. This spot is part of what makes North Park restaurants worth exploring.

DUNEDIN NEW ZEALAND EATS

It is worth going to Dunedin New Zealand Eats for the New Zealand pies alone. You get two pies plus a generous portion of fries. But be warned that they do run out of them, so order early.  A very easy second is getting their burger and fries (be sure to check out their burger of the month). If you’re eating your way through North Park restaurants, don’t skip this one.

Finca Tapas & Bottle Shop

Since opening, Finca Tapas & Bottle Shop has quickly become one of the top North Park restaurants. The decor is warm and inviting, the selection of tapas complements the wine, and the service was outstanding.  The menu changes seasonally, but I suspect it will be as delicious as the ones I enjoyed:  charred eggplant dip, yellowtail crudo, patatas bravas, grilled sunchokes
