If you’re wondering what to eat on a Virgin Voyages cruise, don’t stress. There’s a lot, and most of it’s really good. Virgin Voyages food is nothing like traditional cruise buffets. Instead, they have fancy steakhouse dishes like The Wake and casual bites at The Galley. Some dishes are rich and bold, others are light and fresh, and a few might just surprise you. Here’s a quick look at what stood out most during my time onboard- everything from tender lamb chops to creamy panna cotta, smooth ice cream, and even a solid fried chicken sandwich. Virgin Voyages food impressed me more than I expected.
I suspect that I may have missed some of your favorite dishes, so please use the comments section below if there’s a dish I need to try next time. I kept a list of all the Virgin Voyages food I tried on board.
If you’re vegan or vegetarian, be sure to check out my post on Cruises for Vegans and Vegetarians for more plant-based options. Virgin Voyages food offers options for every type of eater.

The coconut panna cotta at The Wake is smooth and rich. Not too much gelatin, just creamy goodness. It is a light, sweet finish after a big meal. It had the perfect amount of toasted coconut on top. One thing I loved about Virgin Voyages food was the presentation.
The hamachi crudo at The Wake is fresh and clean. The flavor from the pickled rhubarb, hibiscus, and basil is delicious. It is a light start before the heavier steakhouse dishes. Virgin Voyages food keeps getting better with every cruise menu.
The one dish I’m recommending everyone to order is the Oxtail Montadito. It was hands down the best bite of my Virgin Voyages food. The oxtail was super tender, the caramelized onion added sweetness, and the Mahón cheese tied it all together on crispy bread.
The ice cream at Lick Me Till… Ice Cream is smooth and rich. Flavors like brown butter and key lime pie stand out. The cones are fun. There are no toppings, just solid gelato-style scoops. It’s included in your fare, so it is worth a daily stop.
The smoked salmon sandwich at The Galley is simple and satisfying. It has fresh smoked salmon, soft bread, and a few toppings. It’s not fancy, but like much of the Virgin Voyages food, it’s perfect for breakfast or a light bite between meals.
The pescado at Pink Agave is grilled striped bass with mole verde and salsa de xoconostle. The fish is tender, and the mole adds a deep, earthy flavor. The salsa gives it a nice tangy kick. It’s a great choice if you’re into bold, balanced flavors. If this is your first Virgin Voyages trip, don’t miss this restaurant. Virgin Voyages food is a highlight for anyone who loves trying new dishes.
The guacamole at Pink Agave is fresh and creamy. They top it with pomegranate seeds, which add a nice crunch. It’s a really good starter with the chips.
The wild mushroom frittata at Razzle Dazzle is perfect if you love mushrooms. It is fluffy and flavorful, with goat cheese and arugula adding a nice touch. Even late at night, Virgin Voyages food is available and tasty.
The New Zealand lamb chops at The Wake are tender and flavorful. Served with a selection of sauces, including a rich bone marrow béarnaise, they offer a satisfying main course for meat lovers. The elegant setting of the room makes it a fine dining experience.
The pull-apart garlic bread at The Wake is fresh and hot. Soft inside, crispy edges, and loaded with garlic butter. It’s simple but addictive. You might want a second round.
The blueberry-green tea cheesecake at Razzle Dazzle is light and refreshing, making it a standout among Virgin Voyages food options. The pistachio crust adds a nice crunch, and the lemon “cream” gives it a zesty finish. It’s a delicious gluten-free and vegan dessert choice.
The fried chicken sandwich at Razzle Dazzle is a showstopper. Big, crispy chicken on a black bun with beet aioli. The bun looks cool, but it doesn’t add much flavor. The chicken itself is juicy and well-seasoned. I have heard that you can pair it with waffles for a DIY chicken and waffles combo. Virgin Voyages food shows the effort the crew puts into dining experiences.
The hanger steak at The Dock House is flame-grilled and served with warm pita, anchovy, and mint. It’s tender and flavorful, with a Mediterranean twist. A solid pick for a light yet satisfying bite. Some of the best surprises came from the Virgin Voyages food stations.
The Sweet Side in The Galley offers a tempting array of desserts. From classic red velvet cake to tangy key lime pie, there’s something for every sweet tooth. Fresh fruit tarts and chocolate-dipped strawberries provide lighter options. I couldn’t stop talking about how good the Virgin Voyages food was.
